Our Story

How We Met

In a world where second chances are often hoped for but seldom realized, our paths crossed, proving that life always has more in store. Neither of us expected that downloading "Coffee Meets Bagel" would lead to anything more than casual conversations and perhaps a fleeting connection. But the universe had other plans.

Frances, with her straightforward approach, wasted no time. A few exchanged words were all it took before we found ourselves planning to meet. The choice of location? A quaint coffee shop nestled near the serene Japanese Friendship Gardens in Phoenix, Arizona. It was here, amid the tranquil beauty and the simple act of sharing coffee, that our new beginning took root.

That day marked the start of an unexpected journey for both of us. From believing we would never marry again to standing on the threshold of a shared lifetime, we've embraced the surprises life has thrown our way. Our story is a testament to the unpredictable nature of love, found in the most ordinary places, yet leading to extraordinary chapters.

As we prepare to add another chapter in Jamaica, we're reminded of the simple coffee date that started it all. It's a narrative of second chances of rediscovery, and the quiet assurance that sometimes, the best is indeed yet to come.

The Proposal

When in Rome, they say, do as the Romans do. For us, Rome was where our future together was sealed with a simple, yet profound question. Amidst the eternal city's historic grandeur, Joe found the perfect moment to ask Frances the most significant question of their lives.
True to form, Frances, ever the pragmatist, didn't make it easy. But in the heart of a city that has witnessed centuries of love stories, she added her own affirmative "Yes!" to the annals of time.
It was a proposal fitting for us - straightforward, unexpected, yet undeniably right. As we look forward to our new beginning in Jamaica, we're reminded of that decisive moment in Rome that set us on this path.

Wedding Party

Charitsee (Chary) Guzman

Charitsee Guzman holds a cherished place in Frances' heart, not just as a friend, but as a steadfast companion through life's ebbs and flows. Their friendship, rooted in the sun-drenched landscapes of Puerto Rico, blossomed amidst shared childhood adventures and familial bonds, with Charitsee's mother being the best friend of Frances' mother. This deep connection laid the foundation for a friendship that would withstand the test of time.

Charitsee's love for the water mirrors the tranquil and rejuvenating essence of her personality, often finding solace and joy in the rhythmic dance of the waves. Her passion for baking is a testament to her warmth and creativity, always keen to share the sweetness of life with those around her through her delectable creations.

Beyond her hobbies, Charitsee's natural flair for aesthetics and her unwavering willingness to lend a hand make her the life of any gathering. Whether she's weaving magic into decorations or crafting the perfect cocktail, her presence is a blend of joy and comfort.

As Frances' Maid of Honor, Charitsee stands as a pillar of support, embodying years of shared memories, laughter, and unconditional support. Her role in the wedding is not just a title, but a reflection of her invaluable place in Frances' journey, from their childhood days in Puerto Rico to this momentous occasion.
